Driver Assessment and Training

Driversafety.com.au have developed a range of programs that can be tailored to your companies needs, drivers are initially assessed before a relevant and targeted training program is agreed by management and implemented.
Results are monitored and measurable to support a “cost v benefit” analysis.

1.    Does your company have an induction for employees before they are handed a set of car keys
2.    Do all your drivers require the same training?
3.    Do all your drivers pose the same level of risk to both the public and themselves?
4.    What are the cost v benefits in implementing a training program?
5.    Do all employees who drive a vehicle for work purposes have a valid drivers licence?
6.    Does your company have a road safety culture?
7.    Does your business have a relevant road safety policy and has it been implemented?
8.    Do you know the true cost that road related incidents are costing your business?
            (eg Insurance, downtime, brand reputation)

Traditionally many Australian businesses have approached driver training as an
“all or nothing” exercise, they have either ignored the fact that work related road trauma is the highest single contributor to work related deaths and injuries and do nothing or every few years they may send a number of employees to a driver training course where the content in many cases is nationally inconsistent and not relevant to the drivers and companies needs, these events tend to be seen as entertainment rather than educational and can be viewed by some as a reward for bad road behaviour.

Does this sound like your company?

Driversafety.com.au have developed a range of programs that can be tailored to your companies needs, drivers are initially assessed before a relevant and targeted training program is agreed by management and implemented.
Results are monitored and measurable to support a “cost v benefit” analysis.

No company can afford either the financial or emotional cost of ignoring this issue and not having a relevant education program in place that in the long term will develop a road safety culture.

With this in mind we have outlined an option that Driversafety.com.au would recommend which will assist in achieving your companies desired outcomes and objectives, the aim of the program is to provide a hierarchical approach to work related road safety and contribute to the ongoing professional development requirements of your company fleet and employees. It is also structured to provide a uniform and cost effective road safety training program to drivers across your company,  this will help to establish a core set of fleet safety principles that will compliment your company’s corporate values as well as a set out a best practice framework.

The program will establish a standard for the organization and provide a set of competency grading benchmarks to facilitate individual driver assessment.

Recommendation

Driversafety.com.au to risk assess all drivers and nominated personnel.
