Australia wide 24 hours Roadside Assistance
1. 24 Hour Towing Benefit
As a member of our Roadside Assistance Program, you will not be required to pay any additional fees when your service is for a tow of up to 40 km per occurrence.
2. Your membership continues for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase and registration.
3. This is not a vehicle liability insurance contract.
4. This is not a vehicle physical damage insurance contract, we can assist with accident towing but the cost will be at the member’s expense.
5. Service obtained from any other source other than a properly licensed and insured roadside assistance provider is not covered and is not reimbursable. However, we must be given the opportunity to assist first.
6. 24-Hour Roadside Assistance: You will be given a toll free number for your 24-hour emergency roadside benefits. IMPORTANT: Please be with your vehicle when the service provider arrives, as they cannot service an unattended vehicle. Towing- provided for up to 40 km at no charge to member. Additional costs over the 40 km up to a maximum of 40 km per event are the responsibility of the member and will be negotiated prior to sending out service.
Roadside Assistance PROGRAM BENEFITS
Australia wide 24 hour Roadside Assistance Unlimited (Fair Use Applies)
YES. Provide an over the phone diagnosis (where possible) to get the Vehicle mobilised.
General Roadside Assistance/On the Spot Mobilisation
YES. Allianz Global Assistance will pay up to $20.00 (incl. GST) for any costs of hose clamps, light bulbs, coolant top-ups, screws, nuts, bolts and the like, to facilitate the immediate mobilisation of the vehicle (in respect of minor breakdown repairs).
YES. (a) change a flat tyre using the Vehicle’s Serviceable Spare; or (b) transport the Vehicle to an approved tyre outlet if necessary. Should additional services be required beyond this due to multiple flat tyres, the spare tyre being unserviceable, replacement wheel studs/nuts not being available or locking wheel nut key not available, towing is provided free of charge up to the towing limits specified.
Battery Replacement/Jump Start
YES. Allianz Global Assistance will:1) test the battery: 2) jump start a flat battery: 3) coordinate or arrange a battery replacement (for the customer’s account).These batteries allow up to a three year roadside replacement guarantee on the passenger car range, giving the customers total peace of mind in purchasing a quality product - In the event that the battery fails, any time during the 3 year warranty period, the battery will be replaced free of charge by Allianz Global Assistance, which is a feature unrivalled in the replacement battery market.
Lockout or lost keys
YES. Allianz Global Assistance will provide up to $75, per incident, to open vehicle or deliver spare keys.
Out of Fuel
YES. Allianz Global Assistance will provide enough “free” fuel for the customer to travel to the nearest available re-fuelling facility.
Free Metro Towing To closest point of repair (up to a maximum of 40kms) - if over 40kms, any additional costs are for members account.
Free Regional Towing To closest point of repair (up to a maximum of 40kms) - if over 40kms, any additional costs are for members account.
Yes where possible, Allianz Global Assistance will arrange accident towing to a repairer of the member’s insurers’ preference - i.e. where no Accident Allocation Authority exists Allianz Global Assistance will also advise of the appropriate information to obtain from all other parties involved in the accident and whether ambulance, police or fire brigade need to attend the scene. All costs associated with any services pertaining to an accident are for the members account.

Coordinate Only. If the vehicle is stolen, Allianz Global Assistance will assist in arranging alternative transportation. All costs associated with any services pertaining to an accident are for the members account.
Recommended Repairer: a repairer recommended by AGA to undertake workshop repairs to the Vehicle. AGA is not responsible for any costs for work carried out by a Recommended Repairer - all repairs and costs are the member’s responsibility.
Service Area: an area in mainland Australia, Tasmania, Phillip Island and other areas that are trafficable by a two-wheel drive recovery vehicle or islands that are accessible by a two-wheel drive vehicular bridge (excludes ferries).
Allianz Global Assistance Ltd administers roadside benefits. NitroFill Australia Ltd AND/OR Drivers Club are not responsible for any acts, errors, or omissions caused by Allianz and will not pay claims for vehicles, which do not have a current up to date Vehicle Registration and Warrant of Fitness and/or Safety Certificate.
Emergency Tyre Repair/ Emergency Tyre Replacement 1800-770-527
In addition to free roadside assistance service, members are entitled to $220 incl GST total tyre repair/replacement reimbursement during the term of this agreement.
This agreement is between the Agreement Holder (YOU) and Nitrofill Australia Limited and Drivers Club. (We/Us). It provides reimbursement for tyre repair/replacement up to $220 incl GST if the tyre becomes Unserviceable due to a Road Hazard covered under this limited Agreement.
Unserviceable means that the tyre has been punctured or otherwise damaged to the extent that it is unsafe.
Tyre damage that is cosmetic in nature and that does not render the tyre Unserviceable is specifically excluded. In the event that your tyre is not repairable, we will reimburse for the cost of a new tyre (up to $220 incl GST). A Road Hazard is a condition on a serviced public roadway which should not exist there, such as potholes, nails, glass, or other road debris. Coverage is limited to a total pay-out of $220 incl GST only during the twelve (12) month coverage period.
Motorcycle tyres must have a minimum of 3mm tread remaining to qualify for coverage and coverage on motorcycle tyres is limited to a total pay-out of $175 incl GST per registered motorcycle during the twelve (12) month coverage period.

All reimbursement claims must be pre-authorized. Services secured prior to receiving authorization by Drivers Club are NOT covered and will not be reimbursed.
Keep the original receipt containing the date of repair, repair facility’s pre-printed name, address, and telephone number. Receipts must also include the vehicle's year, make, model, registration number, odometer reading, brand and size of the damage tyre, tread depth of the damaged tyre, whether the damaged tyre was repairable, and if not, why not, whether or not the damaged was due to a manufacturers defect, and any other information that we reasonably request.
You must send the completed claim form and matching receipt to: Drivers Club Protection Plan, Claims Department, PO Box 529, South Hobart, Tasmania 7004. Requests will be processed within 20 working days of claims receipt and requests must be postmarked within 30 days of the date of disablement in order to qualify for reimbursement.
Tyre Hazard Exclusions
Coverage does not apply for the following: Any damage that occurs outside of Australia; Any damage that occurs not on a serviced public road; Any claim or benefit not listed; verbal and written promises made by anyone other than Us; Tyres with less than 2.5mm tread remaining; replacements due to defects or covered by a recall, manufacturer or other warranty; damage of tyres which are over/under sized or otherwise not recommended by the vehicle manufacturer; damage caused by collision with another vehicle, curb or median impact; lack of proper maintenance; valve or rim leaks, improper inflation, misalignment, suspension problems, tyre chains, racing, off-road-use, tyres transferred from another vehicle, negligence, malicious mischief, abuse, misuse, vandalism, fire or theft; any loss where You or any person on Your behalf falsely swears or commits any fraudulent act with respect to any claim; any loss covered by primary physical damage insurance; Any consequential damages.
Nitrofill Australia Ltd and/or Drivers Club will not pay claims for vehicles which do not have a current up to date Vehicle Registration and Warrant of Fitness and/or Safety Certificate.
